Context
NuMeRI was established in 2015 under the South African Research Infrastructure Roadmap of the Department of Science, Technology and Innovation. It is the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Anchor Centre for teaching and training, and operates five units: Pre-Clinical Imaging, Radiopharmacy, the Clinical Theragnostic Centre, Basic & Translational Research, and Medical Physics & Radiobiology.
